About Me

Hi, I’m Clare.

I grew up in the Caribbean and moved to the UK when I was 18. Life has taken me through many different chapters — schooling in the UK and abroad, times of comfort and times of struggle, jobs in supermarkets, finance, and even children’s TV. When I lost my parents, everything changed. That loss led me to retrain as a therapist — and that journey has brought me here, to you today, now based in Sussex, in the UK.

Over the past 25 years, I’ve worked with both the mind and body, helping children, teens, and adults understand how closely the two are connected. Our minds shape how we feel, how we act, and even how our bodies respond. When our thoughts race or we feel anxious, our bodies hold that tension — the tight shoulders, the restless sleep, the stomach pains that appear from nowhere. When we’re grieving, our hearts can literally ache. When we’re under pressure to perform at work or school, we carry it in our bodies — in headaches, fatigue, and muscle tightness, and that can make us irritable, moody or angry.

I support children, young people, and adults who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or burnt out, and those who may recognise traits of ADHD, ASD, AuDHD or other neurodivergent patterns in themselves or their families. Together, we look at practical ways to manage the overload, reduce anxiety, and build confidence and calm — so life feels a little lighter, and the world feels easier to navigate.

My work blends warmth, curiosity, and science — because every mind is different, and that’s what makes each of us so unique.

The Good News is…

We can change this.  Our brains are incredible. With the right tools, we can build new pathways that help us think, feel, and respond differently. We can become calmer, more confident, more focused, and more resilient — even when life feels heavy or uncertain.

I know this because I’ve lived it. I’m the result of years of therapy, self-reflection, and some tough choices. I’m still not perfect (none of us are!), but today I’m content in my own skin — happy to be me, proud of the progress I’ve made, and grateful for the calm I’ve found along the way. That journey is what fuels my passion for helping others do the same.

So whether your child is struggling with anxiety, school pressures, or sensory overload; or you’re an adult feeling stuck, stressed, or constantly on edge — I can help you find your way back to balance.

Using a gentle blend of Solution Focused Therapy, Hypnotherapy, NLP and guided trance, I’ll help you retrain your mind to work with you, not against you — to quiet the noise, ease the overwhelm, and rediscover your confidence and clarity.
